Blake Vince, of the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise, Ontario, Canada, in his field of cover crops. The crops are primarily planted to manage soil erosion and fertility. Merlin, Ontario, 29 October 2016. Lake Erie is the shallowest of the five Great Lakes and vulnerable to contamination from various sources that feed into the Maumee River watershed. Rotary clubs in Ohio and Canada near Lake Erie are addressing water contamination by testing water, sharing results, and collaborating with residents and community leaders to advocate for improved water quality.
