New York Soil Health is now accepting applications for its 2025 Soil Health Mini-Grants. The program offers funding for research, extension, and outreach projects that support improved soil management practices across rural and urban areas of New York State.

From 2022 to 2024, the initiative funded 29 organizations and reached more than 2,000 individuals through workshops, field demonstrations, and on-farm research.

“These mini-grants continue to support practical, community-based efforts that improve soil health. It’s encouraging to see the range of creative and locally relevant projects emerging across the state,” said Kristen Loria, New York Soil Health program coordinator.

Applications for the 2025 mini-grants are due by Monday, June 16. Funding decisions will be announced by Friday, June 27.
